Roleplay '.' 3!

Jake pulled on his jacket and pants--he had left in only boxers. He was out of the car a second later and grabbing Tina's hand to hurry into the hospital. He raced for the elevator, and pressed the button for the emergency room.

"I don't like being in this place..." Tina murmured, pressing her face against his shoulder as they waited for the elevator to stop and open on the emergency room.

"You don't have to stay if it's too hard, Tina," Jake whispered into her hair, gently guiding her out of the elevator. ''Why don't you wait out here while I ask the doctors about Selena?" he asked, sitting her down in the waiting room.

"I want to be there for her too you know..." Tina whispered but told him that it was fine and she would stay there for a little bit while he talked to the doctors.

"It's your choice, but I want you to be comfortable," Jake murmured, kissing her softly before moving to the desk. He explained who he was looking for, and the nurse told him that a doctor would be with him in a moment.

Tina leaned back in the very uncomfortable chair and sighed, the nerves and anxiety were getting to her but she needed to keep herself on check. Jake didn't need something else to worry about. She wondered if she should call his parents though.

Jake was relieved when he finally saw the doctor and went to meet him in the center of the hallway. "How is she?"

"I'm relieved to say that it was only dehydration and a lack of nourishment that made her pass out, but her body is very weak, and we're going to be preforming a c-section shortly. We doubt the baby will survive in her body for much longer. Is the father of the child around to join her in the operating room, or will you be joining her?"

Tina saw that Jake was talking to the doctor so she stood and went towards them, wondering what was going on. Plus they should probably call Aiden the moment they found out.

"I-I guess I'll go in with her. I'll have to call our parents, but they're away on vacation..." Jake was both relieved and worried.

"Then you can join us for the c-section. It will only take place in a few hours, once we have finished making sure that Sunshine is healthy again. The only problem with this operation is her cancer. She's a danger to be operated on, so the procedure is risky, but the only option if you want the baby to live. She'll need blood transfusions afterwards."

A C-section? So the baby would be born today. "Will anyone need to donate blood for her?" Tina asked curiously since she knew hospitals could sometimes be low in said supply and blood types as well.

"Yes, actually. We were thinking of testing her brother, but we could test you too. The more available, the better," The hospital was very low on Selena's blood type.

"You could test the baby's father when he gets here later tonight." Tina said, wanting them all to help in any way.

"We'll test him too," The doctor promised with a soft smile. "Sunshine is awake now. You may go sit with her."

"Thank you," Tina said before the doctor left them. "I'll go call Aiden and tell him what is going on before I go by the room." She told him.

Jake followed the doctor to Selena's room, and was happy to see that other than being pale, she looked good. "Hi, Sel," he murmured, taking a seat beside her bed. "Feeling better?"

Selena nodded, giving him a soft smile. She was happy to see a familiar face. "Better...I guess," She laughed a little, one hand resting on her belly. "Is Aiden on his way? I want him to be here for the c-section..."

Tina had been walking into the room just in time to hear Selena's question. She looked at Jake and softly shook her head because she knew Aiden wouldn't make it.

"He's trying his hardest. He told me he was packing right now cause he just finished talking to his producer. And they are letting him come and do all the business over the phone." But it was a long flight home... And he couldn't find a flight.

Selena smiled tiredly. "Oh, thank god. I can't...have this baby without him," She needed Aiden there to hold her hand, and then hold their baby.

"We won't leave your side though." Tina assured her, sitting down gently on Jake's lap. This would of probably have been them if she hadn't lost her baby...

Selena smiled at the two of them. "So I'll have the three off you here--that's perfect," She was convinced my Tina's words that Aiden would make it in time.

Tina grinned and squeezed Selena's hand. "So is the baby moving a lot inside you?" She asked. She was sincerely curious.

"Yes. thankfully. The doctor says she'll be fine, but she needs to be born today, just in case." Selena was upset at herself fr giving into her loneliness and forgetting to eat, but she was also happy to see her baby soon.

"Why didn't you tell us you were feeling bad? Or that you didn't like the food?" Tina asked softly, wanting to know why Selena would let this happen to her and the baby. "We were so worried when Aiden called."

"I just didn't realize...I was so caught up feeling lonely that I didn't even realize I wasn't eating," Selena looked down at her hands, ashamed of herself.

"I'm glad you and the baby are alright..." Tina whispered, closing her eyes longer than usual so she didn't shed a tear or two. "Do you want anything?"

Selena looked up at Tina and saw the sadness in her eyes. It was unfair that Tina would lose her baby, while Selena, who was ill, would have hers. Selena wished that they both could be becoming mothers. "No, but thank you."
